Certification
EDU:BIT Certification Program is a joint initiative between Cytron Technologies and Asia Pacific University (School of Engineering). We provide a platform for beginners, especially primary and secondary school students, to access quality robotics and coding education. Upon completion of the course, successful candidates will receive an e-certificate as an affirmation of their effort and achievement.

Students to go through the lessons in the book (11 topics) + complete application challenges.

Do I need to register for the certification program? How much is the registration fee?
This is a FREE program; there is no registration fee. Please click the button to register for the session of your choice so that we can send you a reminder and the link to sit for the online theory test.

What will be tested in the online theory test?
The test will cover the content of the book as outlined in the course overview.
What documentation do I need to provide for the project submission?
We will need you to submit ...
a short demo video to show how the project works (upload the video to YouTube/Facebook and send us the link),
your code with comments to explain what each chunk of blocks does (publish your project on MakeCode Editor and send us the URL), and
an A4-sized poster (in pdf format). Your poster must include an image/illustration of the project and a brief description on how it works. Remember to include the project title, your name and school/centre.

How will my project be evaluated?
The objective of the project is for candidates to demonstrate that they are able to apply what they have learned in the course to innovate and build their own projects. Your project will be evaluated on the following criteria :
Poster
Does the poster include a suitable image/illustration of the project?
Does the description clearly communicate how it works?
Video
Does the video clearly demonstrate how the project works (i.e. shows a working prototype)?
Is it creatively presented?
Code
Does the code work?
Do the comments clearly explain what each chunk of blocks does?
Overall Impression
Has the candidate built an innovative project or at least made noticeable improvement to an existing game/application?
Has the candidate put in effort to clearly and creatively present his or her project?

What are the requirements to receive the course completion certificate?
Submitted an original project and passed the theory test.
85% and above - Distinction
70% - 84% - Merit
60% - 69% - Pass
When will I know the result?
Depending on the number of candidates, please allow us up to one month to evaluate all projects. Do NOT send multiple submissions. Successful candidates will receive an e-cert (via email).
